Synergy



Pure essential oils can be combined retaining the benefits of each individual oil. But some oils when mixed create an enhanced blend that far exceeds the effectiveness of each individual oil. When oils blend so harmoniously the result is called synergy - where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

The following suggested blends may offer relief from symptoms and improve wellbeing, but they are not offered as a substitute for medical treatment.

General Wellbeing


Anxiety:
Frankincense, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang.

Special Note

Pregnancy is a joyful phase in life when both ‘mum to be’ and ‘unborn baby’ need special care and pampering. The body undergoes many physical changes which often cause symptoms such as headaches, nausea, sleeplessness and nervous tension.
While there are a number of oils that should be avoided during pregnancy (see safety precautions below), there are many oils that offer welcome relief from such symptoms.


Safety Precautions

  • Pure essential oils are for external use only.
  • Always use more diluted blends when applying oils topically on babies, children or the elderly.
  • With the exception of Lavender and Tea Tree, use of 100% undiluted oils on the skin is not recommended.
  • Sufferers of high blood pressure or epilepsy should avoid the use of Rosemary or blends containing Rosemary.
  • Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon and Orange oils or blends containing any of these oils may cause skin sensitivity if applied to the skin before and during heavy exposure to the sun.
  • During pregnancy (particularly the first trimester) do not use the following pure essential oils in topical applications: Basil, Cedarwood, Cinnamon Leaf, Clary Sage, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Jasmine, Marjoram, Peppermint or Rosemary oils or blends containing any of these oils.
